Working closely with local stakeholders, the Dairy and Swine Research and Development Centre oversees orientation, operations and the marketing of research intended to improve the competitiveness of the dairy and pork industries, and presenting the national, strategic interest of Canadian society and the industry in the context of sustainable production.

The Kapuskasing Beef Cattle Research Farm develops technologies for herd management and feed conservation to improve the profitability of beef production in eastern Canada.
